Blanket
Well, i realized something this morning. It was a bit colder than usual, i turned of my fan, and ended up turned it on again because it feels so hot. As i said before, i'm a cold-resistant guy, but actually, i like the feel when i used a blanket, but i will wake up uncovered anyway.
After a year and a half living in several places in Jakarta, i've never used any blanket, it's too hot for me to use it anyway. But last year, when i planned to join my friend living in his room, he said the room got AC installed, so i asked my mom to send me a small blanket to balance the cold from the air and the heat of my body. Something funny happened.
When i moved in, in the first night, i unpacked my blanket and put it on the top of my stuff, so when i need it, i'll just take it and use it. But, you know what? I ended up sleeping with only my singlet on (sometimes topless) and boosted the cold with a fan. I just can't resist the heat, the ac is okay though, even the other guy who slept beside me is always using his blanket. Why am i like this? Is this a blessing or a curse? Lol.

DeleteI guess so. Have you ever lost one? If you have, do you ever plan on to get them back in your life? Or probably restore what was once you guys had?

DeleteMe? Yes, about 4 years ago i lost one of my best friend, i tried to recover everything, but that didn't go well. She keeps resisting all the time and it can't be helped, but at least, i tried my best. Well, people will come and go, that's life.
Well yeah, people come and go but I decided to ditch mine, we rarely see each other anymore.
DeleteOh it's a woman? Wow. What did you do to try to get her back? 4 years ago was quite a long time, probably she has a change of heart now? She must be very important to you. I wish I had a friend like you.

DeleteYep, a woman. I tried everything that i could. recently, i told her to stop resisting, but my words didn't reach her, perhaps. In the past 4 years, she did changed, but in a negative way.
Well, I'm well aware that I'm in no position to give an opinion but probably there's a reason why your best friend has changed. Or probably it wasn't that she had change but instead she stopped being the figure that you had pictured in your mind, well you know, for some reasons? Or the other scenario, probably the reason why she has changed is because of someone new in her life?
DeleteI always believe that when someone find someone new, it's not that you change because of them but you change yourself when you feel free enough to be loved for who you really are.
I guess, I hope you two can work it out in the future? I believe that she's a nice person, well you know, judging from your posts you sounded like a complicated man, it's really great that you have a best friend from an opposite gender without involving feelings!

I respect your opinion, but i don't think the same way as you. well, something or someone new could change us, but not changing us to a whole different person. At least there must be something left unchanged, i mean their true self.
DeleteI had a big hope at first, but now it feels like it's impossible, so what will be, will be. If she comes, then i would welcome her back, if she didn't, i'll just say goodbye and good luck on her new life.

Wow. How do you guys manage your friendshil without involving feelings then? You sound really sad losing this girl. Did she really play a big part in your life back then? Reading your stories I don't know why I'm rooting for both of you to work things out.
Deletenah, our feelings destroyed our friendship. she was my best friend and also my ex. Yeah, i feel sad back then, it took several months to made up my feelings, then everything is okay. What's in my mind back then is to restore our friendship, but you know, as i said before, she keeps resisting, and after years and years trying, i feel like i don't really care anymore, if she's gonna come back, then it's good, if she's not, then it's okay. But frankly, there's a little hope that someday she'll made up her mind.
